FIT or Farce?

The ongoing saga over the fate of FITs would be funny if it wasn't so serious in terms of the loss of confidence it is causing in the renewable sector as a whole.

The government seems hell-bent on causing as much confusion as possible.

Hopefully things are now being sorted out -although we are left with another gold rush period; PV installed before March 3rd will attact the 43p tariff - Unless DECC appeal again!!

If the Government had won its Appeal in January, a precedent would have been set to allow the retrospective policy changes in future, such as reducing payments to renewable energy producers after they had commissioned their systems. This would spell disaster for an already shaky and formative industry. Carbon Zero Consultings says ''Sort out FITs once and for all and get a move on with confirming domestic RHI tariffs''!
